Are you 15-19 and would like to be a Youth Leader?
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE

The Vickery Meadow Summer Academy teaches elementary aged children reading and writing with lots of fun included.  Our Youth Leaders are a vital element in making the Summer Academy spirited and successful. Our Youth Leaders have many tasks, including being role models of excellence for the younger students. Youth Leaders play essential, responsible roles, and are just as necessary as Tutor positions. Our Youth Leaders will be expected to arrive by 7:00am (unless otherwise advised), and to remain to assist until 1:00pm (unless otherwise advised) each day of Class.

Here is an informative video we really love and recommend for        VMSRA Youth Leaders, prepared for us by Lisa Olsen
and Jillian Conry of SMU:

Our Youth Leaders will be expected to model superior behavior and discipline for our students.  If you are seriously interested in becoming a VMSRA Youth Leader, please continue.  Please do not sign up if you are not a serious candidate.
WE NEED THE BEST WHO RISE ABOVE ALL THE REST!

From Kalen Doyle
Youth Leader of the Year 2014:
I love children, and have babysat a range of ages for the past four years. I participated in [Summer Academy] last year and it changed my life. I found that I love teaching and am excited to have the chance to do it again. I am great at working with others, I'm a very hard worker. I am very patient and understanding with teachers, students, and my peers. I also love to read and write and have become very good at doing both.
